Alex served Wycliffe Bible Translators as a network administrator in a regional office in Bamenda, Cameroon. The Bamenda office used long-distance wi-fi to distribute internet access and shared files from mountain to mountain. This service to Wycliffe workers and partners sped up Bible translation, use and literacy efforts in the area. It also enabled local churches to work more closely with missionaries.
